Tara Berman, CPA is the managing partner of TaraPaige Group. She is a leading industry expert on business planning, conceptual development, accounting and financial management, operations and overall strategic guidance for early stage brands and growing enterprises.

Tara earned her Certified Public Accounting license in 1997 while at Anchin, Block and Anchin LLP, a public accounting firm and advanced to investment banking with JP Morgan in trading and sales for the capital markets division. In 2002, after her completion of culinary school at the Institute of Culinary Education, she started her tenure in the kitchen of the French Laundry with The Thomas Keller Restaurant Group. Tara continued to work with TKRG in management at Bouchon Bistro, Per Se and Bouchon Bakery.

Tara is a member of the Women’s Food Service Forum, New York Women’s Culinary Alliance, Founding Member of The New York City Hospitality Group, Faculty Member of the Management Program at The Institute of Culinary Education and guest lecturer at New York University Food Studies Program. In 2013, Tara earned her Executive MBA at NYU’s Stern School of Business.

Ward brings extensive consumer & retail experience including operations, financial management, business planning, strategy, and valuation. As a senior Advisor and part of our leadership team, Ward works closely with clients in setting the standards for how we present data metrics to deliver financial levers that clients can then make operational management decisions.

Prior to joining TaraPaige Group, Ward helped launch Just Real Foods, a natural/specialty packaged food company with brands sold throughout the country in retail chains such as Whole Foods, Wal-Mart and Kroger. There he was responsible for several capacities, including directing and managing the finance and operational activities for the brand as a whole.

His finance career began at Capstone Headwaters (formerly Headwaters MB) as an M&A analyst on their Industrials team where he worked on transactions in the food ingredient, environmental remediation and chemicals & plastics space. Ward received his Bachelor of Science in Finance and Accounting with an Economics Minor from the University of Vermont’s Grossman School of Business.

Eve started out in catering and event planning before opening her own café and restaurant, Out of The Kitchen, in the West Village in 1995. After a successful 17 years, Eve closed the business in 2012. Eve went on to manage a neighborhood restaurant, Kitchenette, for three years before joining Cushman Concepts; a Boston based restaurant group that was gaining their first foothold in NYC. At Cushman Concepts Eve handled financial management, financial reporting, payroll and HR as the company opened three restaurants and grew from a staff of 10 to 140.

As an advisor, Eve works with clients in reviewing their numbers and providing financial insight for operational success. She knows firsthand how working with tried and true professionals in the industry only add to business owners and management.

Neda graduated from the University of Mazandarn in Iran and earned her bachelor’s degree in accounting. After graduation, she worked for 4 years in a software company in Tehran as an accountant. She then moved to NY where she earned her MBA degree in Finance from New York Institute of Technology.

Prior to joining TaraPaige Group, she worked as an accountant at a food distribution company. Neda manages the accounting for multiple clients and works closely with our advisors in producing accurate and timely financials.

Marcin is a wold traveler, having last worked iin London and originally from Poland. Marcin started with TaraPaige Group as an intern. With the company’s support and his dedication to his work, Marcin was promoted to Advisor and the company sponsored him. Marcin enjoys his role as a controller for clients and working closely with them on strategic planning. He helps to analyze a company’s financial statements and solve issues, create value, maximize growth and improve business performance.

Marcin earned his master’s degree from Rzeszow University in Poland. He was enrolled at London College of Business Studies and University of Cardiff where he completed credits in Business and Administration. He is currently studying for a Certified Accounting Analysts license from NACPB. Marcin holds 3 types of different US visas however he is not a big fan of American football. He is passionate about traveling and tasting new cuisines.

Laila came to TaraPaige group from a background in the International Relations, Relocation Services and retail, providing accounting and financial services in various fields. She graduated from the University of Agdal in Rabat, Morocco with a bachelor in Business Administration. Before joining TaraPaige Group, Laila worked as an accountant at a CPA firm, and AR Manager at a large manufacturer / retailer of Porcelain. Laila is fluent in French and Arabic.

Doron has over 10 years finance experience working with many international companies, mostly with his home country of Israel. Before joining TaraPaige Group he was the Head of Finance for a boutique real estate company in NYC whereby he managed all financial and operational activities of the business. Prior to moving to the united states, Doron was Head of Finance for the concession (PPP/ DBOT) division at Ashtrom LTD for 3.5 years.

As Director with TaraPaige Group, Doron works with the team in managing day to day accounting and financial processes of the firm. Doron graduated from Tel Aviv University, has his MBA, and is a certified accountant.

Xumai recently joined us as an intern and thrilled to have him here. Xumai works with our advisors and accountants on day to day bookkeeping. He earned his undergraduate degree from Drew University with an Economics major and a Master ion Science in Finance from Boston College. He is happy to be living in NYC and enjoys swimming in his spare time.
